The match began with the shot of a pistol. Mirak's bat, the Blood Kill I, took off into the air as Slither dove underground. Almost instantly, the Moulders realized they were going to have a looooong fight.
After about ten minutes of Slither being out of sight and Blood Kill flying around, both Moulder were very bored. Mirak stifled a yawn and met Vilepaw's evil glare. He would not lose.
Suddenly, Blood Kill dropped from the sky, no longer moving its wings, startling both Moulders. The bat landed on the ground with a thump. Almost instantly, Slither's jaws erupted from the earth trying to snap shut on the bat. Fortunately for Blood Kill, he wasn't completelr retarded and managed to roll out of the worm's range before shakily taking off again. Slither roared in frustration and lunged into the air after Blood Kill. Its jaws snapped shut on one of the bat's legs. It shrieked as it was pulled down...
Suddenly, Slither let go of its prey with a furious roar, a hole appearing in the side of its hide. The bat's WarpClawed feet hummed happily as the worm writhed in agony. Blood Kill dove towards the worm, shrieking in triumph. Its claws slashed across the worm's front, and blood began to pour out. the worm began spasming wildly, and its head knocked the great bat out of the sky. Blood Kill landed on its back, and was motionless for several minutes before it realized it was fighting. it rolled up and was promptly knocked over by Slither, whose entire body was now above ground. Vilepaw was in the air now, and Mirak had retreated to the stands, not willing to risk his life against the worm. Slither finally calmed down and gathered its wits, large amounts of blood pouring from its head. The bat took off and again slashed at Slither's head. This time, however just after slashing its talons, the bat was struck by Slither's massive tail and was sent flying into the stands, where it landed in a bloody mess, both of its wings broken. SLither roared in pained truimph.
OOC: Flyer vs. Burrower. :P Both beasts were wounded... Slither got beaten up pretty badly too, though there wasn't much brain to slash up... too bad that was VP's tourney beast... :P Vilepaw won by a fraction. Slither suffered 'brain' damage, and will need a Skalm. So will batty. ^_^
