Packlord Mirak vs. Balik
Ready... Set... CHAAAARGE!

Mirak and Balik galloped towards eachother, their beasts hissing furiously. Both Skaven had lances, and both were aimed at eachother. The two rats got close to eachother, and as Hellreaver tried to snap across the barrier at Balik's beast, a tentacle emerged from the belly of Balik's rat, slithered over the barrier, and slashed at Hellreaver's legs. The rat squealed in surprise as it came toppling down, its legs giving way under it, and Mirak lance going wide. Balik laughed and didn't even bother poking the downed Moulder with his lance.

OOC: Ouch. Bad luck there... sorries. No injuries except a loss of honour.

Scrokk vs. Faliggen
CHAAARGE!

The two charged at eachother, Makari flying with a tiny rat on its back (presumably sent in place of Scrokk himself). The Jezzail on the beast (thus it was allowed through) fired, but it went wide. As the rats approached eachother, the began snarling and trying to attack acorss the barrier. The rats' lances hit eachother's spears, and the small rat's warpstne-tipped lance broke his opponent's shield even as the rat was thrown from Makari's back by the force of the blow.

OOC: The rat didn't weigh enough to stay on the saddle there... though it is unique to have a LANCE break a SHIELD.... I wonder if a plyer will win a joust. More coming on the morrow.

Ratticq vs. harvik
The two charged eachother and collided as a spurt of blood shot up from Harvik's beast. Speedy Squeak had rammed both of his bladed limbs into his opponent's beast's chest. To the surprise of the crowd, both Varskik and Harvik fell off their mounts. After a moment of consulting, the judges decreed Ratticq the winner, as his beast remained healthy.

Ratticq vs. Charzik

The match began as the gates were lowered. Varskik rode Speedy fast, and as the two opponents reached eachother, several things happened simultaneously. Charzik's rat snaked a tentacle over the border and Speedy Squeak slashed a blade across it, severing it. In addition, Varskik's lance shattered as Charzik fell off of his rat onto the ground, heralding Ratticq as the victor.

OOC: Anudder win. :P

The match began to thunderous applause. Varskik and Balik faced eachother on opposite sides of the arena. A shot was fired, and the two charged eachother. Balik's tentacled rat seemed drousy; it was obvious that the Moulder had no control over his own beast. The crowd cheered Varskik on. Just as the two rats passed eachother (Balik couldn't lower his lance and Varskik didn't lower his), Varskik brought his own lance down on Balik's head. The rat fell over onto the ground, black blood leaking out from under his helmed at Varskik did a vistory lap.

OOC: Go Ratticq! *waves flag*

A pistol shot heralded the beginning of what promised to be a magnificent day in the UnderEmpire. The match began.

The two rats charged at eachother, and lance and shield collided. both lances shattered, but Varskik and Faliggen both stayed on their rats. The two galloped to the opposite ends of the arena, picked up a second lance, and charge again. On this second charge, Varskik changed the angle of his spear slightly. when the two passed eachother, Varskik's spear glanced off the shield and the blunt side ended up in front of Faliggen. The Moulder rode into the shaft and fell off.

A very close match here... It took five passes before Verminax's beast managed to wrap a tentacle around his counterpart's neck and yank him to the ground...

Ratticq vs. Thyrrin
The match started in a typical fashion. The two rats charged eachother, Varskik and Thyrrin lowering their lances....

BAM!

Both lances shattered upon eachother's shields, showering the combat with splinters. The two kept galloping, picked up second lances, and charged again.

Pillz Varskik howled, and Thyrrin roared. The two collided again, but this time their beasts entered the fray. Speedy Squeak plunged his blades down into his counterpart's chest, while Thyrrin's beast raised his saw high in the air and brought it down. varskik roared in pain as his arm fell to the ground and Speedy Squeak squeaked as a bladed arm fell off. Despite the pain, Varskik stayed on his beast, while Thyrrin, grinning truimphantly, found himself on the ground as his dead beast collapsed.

OOC: :o Ouch. Speedy lost an arm... you can probably patch it back on though... Varskik did too. :P Same situation. But you won. :P

Ratticq vs. Verminax
The match began with the sharp retort of a pistol. Varskik and Verminax charged eachother, lances lowered. Verminax's eyes were wary of the rat sitting on the other rat before him. they appeared normal...

As the two slammed into eachother, Varskik suddenly lowered his spear. Alarmed, Varskik pulled on his reigns, and his lightly armoured beast screamed as the lance scraped its head. The two carried on past eachother, Verminax's eyes now burning red with fury.

The two steadied there steed at opposite ends and charged again. This time, Verminax was ready for any sneaky tricks. As the two charged, Varskik dropped his spear again, and Verminax's beast's tentacle wrapped around it and yanked it out of the rat's hands. Varskik was pulled forward, and barely let go before he was pulled off Speedy Squeak. the sudden shift in weight threw the rat off balance, and Varskik's mount nearly toppled over. Only Varskik's supreme josting skill saved him. The two galloped to their starting sides, and varskik selected a new lance. The two turned and lowered their lances, then charged.

Before the two met, Varskik did something unexpected, but not banned by the rules. He threw his lance. It was a brilliant throw, but it missed, landing in front of Verminax. The rat swore and jerked his rat violently to the left, barely dodging the lance and ripping out one of the mount's teeth.

The two charged eachother again as soon as possible. Varskik attempted to drop his spear again, but this time Verminax followed form and sttruck Varskik's Shield. the lance shattered, but Varskik was thrown from the rat, high into the air. The crowd held it breath. Varskik really was soaring... he fell... and fell...

...and landed on Speedy Squeak's back. Speedy had run back to catch his master! The crowd was stunned, then broke into loud cheering. Varskik hung into Speedy Squeak as the rat turned and walked back to the current starting side. Verminax looked very thoughtful...

They charged again. This time, Verminax swung his new lance at Speedy feet. They struck true, and Speedy stumbled, falling forward. Varskik instantly corrected this with a sharp upward jerk of the reigns and continued to the opposite side.

Again, a charge. And again and again. Then, yet again and again. Neither of them could seem to get the better of the other, though Verminax's harsh treatment of his beast made it look worse for the wear.

They charged again. But this time, Verminax's beast was sick of its treatment. It sat down abruptly, throwing Verminax from the saddle. It made no move to go help its master as he hit the ground with a loud thud.

OOC: Every single round I mentioned actually happened. I thought it would never end.... and a player wins yet again. :P We need better NPC's.... but it was really that close. In fact, if Verminax's rat hadn't gotten tired or being treated like crap, Varskik would have lost the last round. :P
