Preliminaries

These went by VERY quickly.

Friar Divik and 'Kirby' did what they do best; swallow their opponent's critter in one gulp. :P

Similarly, Neek and his favorite Chupacabra ( :P ) simply hypnotized his opponent then completely crushed them with his wyvern body.

Gonzo and Blipquick were also successful. A Giant Flying Giant Rat is hard to beat! The beast simply chomped down in his opponent!

OOC: Yeah... you guys weren't even hurt... :P It was fast.

Friar Divik
The match began with the shot of a pistol. Friar Divik goaded his beast into the air and watched as the Flying Squig soared high above his opponent, a fast-moving Giant Rat. There didn't seem to be anything particularly remarkable...

So "Kirby" dove at it, mouth open wide. The rat disappeared into the beast's Giant Maw. Divik smiled nd beckoned its beast down. As it landed, its eyes suddenly widened. It began shaking violently. Divik's brows creased in worry, then surprise as the Beast opened its mouth and flames shot out. The Friar barely escaped in time. Before the Squig closed its mouth, Divik saw the rat struggling to breathe his flames through a wall of Squig saliva as it went down the beast's throat.

OOC: Heh. :P

s'neek'eep
As the pistol went off, Neek's huge Wyvern/Chupacabra took to the air, hissing and snarling. Vazzin (finalist in the UEGT)'s beast was a winged Rat Ogre with Four arms, all sawed. The fight began in earnest.

Chupacabra, early on, managed to make eye-contact with its opponent. Vazzin's beast froze in place, only its wings moving. The huge wyvern lunged in, viciously tearing at the beast. Suddenly waking up out of its daze, the Ogre snarled and attacked back, but its blows just glanced off the wyvern's scaly hide. A second blow to the head ended the Rat Ogre's pathetic life.

OOC: Another fast one... your beasts are too good... :P

Haggensqueek Has Won his match crushingly!

Blipquick
The match began in the normal way. Both beasts took off into the air. Gonzo found himself facing an opponent of a similar caliber: a large flying Giant Rat. The two charged at eachother head-on, glaring eachother in the eye as their Packmasters barked orders from below. At the last second, Gonzo dropped altitude, then suddenly flew straight up, his sharp teeth burying themsleves in the beast's stomach. The two rats struggled for a while, but it wasn't long before Karzlak's beast lost altitude rapidly. Gonzo let go and flew out of the way as the dead beast hit the ground.

OOC: W00t. ^_^

Nikkit
A very close match, this one. Thev two beasts grappled in the air for hat seemed like an eternity, with the Master Moulders' whips lashing out, before Nikkit's beasts finally decapitated its foe. It appears that Skalm or lots of bbandages will be required for Nikkit's wounds...

Ransok won his match after a close bout with another, similarly sized Flying Rat Ogre!

Blidge won crushingly, with the tiny rat/Pacmaster riding his beast, then leaping onto the opposing flying orc and ripping its head off before leaping back onto his own beast.

Forrik has won his matc crushingly!

Neek vs. Ransok
The match began the split-second.... well, almost a aplit-second... really more of a second and a split second after that... well, anyways, after the pistol went off, the match began. Neek's massive beast took off into the air, with Neek flying right beside it. Ransok stayed on the ground, lashin out with his extra long whip as his own beast took to the air. Chupacabra fixed ransok's beast Hellvente with its mesmerising glare, but the beast simply ignored it.

The two met in combat a split-sec - soon. ^_^ Hellvente was fast, and managed ti attack before Chuppie could react. Unfortunately, the beasts's claws did nothing againt the wyvern's iron-hard hide. The wyvern roared in defiance and struck back, almost knocking Hellvente out of the sky. The Rat Ogre managed to regain its compsure, dodge another rain of attacks, then launch a counterattack, which was once again rendered in effective. Neek, or course, was laughing his head off in midair.

Chuppie's last assault finally took Hellevente out of the running, with a sharp blow to the 'ead doing the trick. The Ogre crumbled to the ground.

OOC: Why is it that Wyverns are untouchable? :( Ach, nice job... though why THAT beast didn't wound you is beyond me...

Blidge vs. Forrik

Blidge wiped away his opponent once again, wwith his beast of doom harrying the flying Kroxigor he was facing. Blidge managed to leap onto his opponent's back, and yet again won the day. It seems that the Moulder is beetter than the beast...

Nikkit vs. Haggensqueek
The match began as they usually did (no need to go into detail here...)... Flick-Tump took to the air and charged forward at the extremely tough-looking Orc he was fighting. The flying centaur thing attacked first, his blades slicing through armour and bone. The Orc roared as he unleashed his own, far faster fury of attacks. Dull thuds emanated from the arena as the blows glanced off of heavy armour, and the blows intensified as Flick-Tump regained its strength. More blood was drawn by Nikkit's beast, enraging the Orc. Its eyes blazed with fury, and it unleashed a hailstorm of blows, but the hyper-concentrated Flick-Tum managed to avoid almost all of them. The last blow from the Orc sliced deep into Flick-Tump's flesh; it shrieked as sizzling green blood spurted out all over its opponent. The Orc screamed in horror and clutched its face as it fell to the ground below, its face completely dissolved by the acid. Flick-Tump quickly landed, and Nikkit hurried out to meet his beast.

OOC: Hmm. Interesting. :P I actually didn't epect that to happen. Odds were against Nikkit's beast, but it somehow proved impossible to wound :P... until that last shot, and then the acidic blood finished Flick-Tump's work. A Skalm IS in order, but good job to all participants.

Divik vs Blipquick
The loud yet elegant waves of green, glowing, jewel-like stone in a glossy silver cylinder detonating in an eclectic mix of colorful fireworks heralded the beginning of the match, and the combatants took to the air. Friar Divik and Blipquick both remained on the ground, watching warily as their beasts took off.

Kirby roared a challenge and dove down at Gonzo. The giant rat levelled its Ratling Guns at the beast and fired. The crowd gasped as countless bullets scoured the Squig's flesh, and it shrieked in fury and flew ever faster. The Squig opened its mouth wide, but Gonzo dove out of the way of that Gaping maw, and the beast's claws didn't do much good either. Gonzo roared and attacked the Squig's back. As the rat got angrier, his Ratling Guns went off again. One of them choked up and emitted a noxious gas, while the other fired...

...straight into the crowd. Skaven dove out of the way to dodge the bullets, and the stands were in Chaos as the next thing happened. Kirby managed to turn around and snap his jaws shut. Gonzo made not a sound as the massive teeth sunk into his flesh. The Squig shook its head, and Gonzo fell from its mouth, leaving most of itself in Kirby's mouth, who then proceeded to swallow. Blipquick had to dive out of the way of the falling beast...

OOC: Wow. :blink: Ratling Gun did 3 W against Toughness 6. I though Blipquick had this in the bag... then Kirby managed to take a MASSIVE bite out of Gonzo and... *winces* Anyway, Kirby is not unscathed. He's gonna' need a Skalm, bullet removal, and bandages. That ratling gun nearly killed the beast.... Good match.

Neek vs. Divik

A pistol shot began the match. Neek and Chupacabra took to the air as Kirby did the same. Almost immediately, Neek aimed his Lightning Generator and fired. A bolt of lightning erupted from the coppery nozzle and struck the Flying Squig. It squealed angrily and dove at Chuppie. The massive Wyvern looked Kirby in the eye...

...and the Squig froze, only its wings moving. To the audience's fascination (and the curses of the friar down below as he tried to join his beast in the sky to no effect), the Squig extended its upper jaw and began tearing at its own flesh. Waterfalls of briaght blood fell to the ground, soaking the Moulder standing below.

As such, Chuppie's sudden attack took everyone, including Neek himself, by surprise. The Wyvern slammed into the Squig, and it was defenseless as it got mauled by the reptilian monster.

OOC: Ouch. *winces* That ws one of tose matches where the first roll decides the game. In this case, the inital Chuppie Leadership Test. The Squig wasn't blind, and even though it tried not to meet the beast's eyes, it didnt see the second Chuppie head on the Wyvern's belly... that error caused Kirby to freeee, allow Neek to hit him with th generator, Kirby to attack itself, and Chuppie to finish it. Interesting match... Chuppie is a lot scarier now than he was before...

Blidge vs. Nikkit
A beatifully fired silver, polished pistol heralded the start of the match. Blidge, mounted upon his massive winged Giant again, took to the air. Nikkit didn't feel very safe as his horse took to the air...

Roaring, the Giant dove downward, the little rat on its back chuckling gleefully. it brought one of its paws down in a massive swipe...

...and missed. Nikkit's shoulders slumped in relief. It was a premature motion, as the giant's second swipe caused a great shattering of bones and a falling beast...

OOC: Broken bones/wings for Flick-Tump... the match goes to Blidge...

Blidge vs Chupacabra
The Final match began with a burst of flame from the nozzle of a Warpfire thrower. The crowd cheered wildly as the combatants took to the air: Blidge, mounted upon his massive Giant Beast, and Neek, flying alongside the infamous Chupacabra.

The actionn started with Neek. Bolts of Lightning arced out from his generator and slammed into the his opponent's beast. The Giant roared in shock and fury as a large burn-mark appeared on its flesh. It charged forward at top speed, ignoring the bullet that Neek fired at it.

The beast slammed into Chupacabra. Strangely enough, Blidge was looking into the beast's eyes, not afriad of them. There seemed to be a battle of wills before all chaos broke loose. The Giant hacked at Chuppie with a fury, drawing hardly and blood, and Neek's beast did the same. Neek fired his Lightning Generator at Blidge as he leapt ono the back of Chupacabra. The little rat began attacking the beast with unimaginable speed; yet it seemed to do nothing, and Blidge ignored the lightning bolts that struck him (and the bullet that missed).

The fight between the beasts carried on. Both of the beasts had by now managed to make a bloody mess, it was raining blood on the arena below. The beasts were moving back and forth as the feinted and blocked, and even the crowd was splattered. Neek's continual shower of Lightning bolts left huge burns on the Giant, and both beasts were tearing huge chunks of flesh off of each other.

It was after almost an hour that a huge mass of balled-up lightning erupted from Neek's Generator, striking Blidge's beast in full force. The Giant froze completely and began to fall back to earth. As it fell, the Giant began twitching, and it slammed into the ground with suck force that the stands shook and a huge plume of dust rose up, covering the blood-soaked beast.

OOC: Neek won.... but by barely. :o wow. Very close. There was actually a hidden battle of wills going on, but nothing interested ever happened because they all passed their tests. It was a huge bloodbath, with the two hacking at eachother (and the Master Moulders too) for a long time... I was getting sick of it meself. :P (5,5,6,6... wow! All hit! 1,1,2,2.. WTF? I actually had that roll three turns in a row... :unsure: ). In the end, it was Neek's Lightning Generator which won the day: Both beasts were down to their last wounds (well, Chuppie had 2, Blidge's thing 11) when every one of the generators shots hit... and that finished it. Otherwise, it could have been very different... good match. Very good match.

Out of Curiosity, why did no-one every send me tactics to go after their opponent's wings? At the height most of them were at, taking out their wings really could have decided the match... I was expecting to see a lot of that, but I guess I was wrong... :P Good Tourney all! new Skavenblight tournies up soon!
