First of all, I'd like to congratulate you with what looks like a very firm (new) set of rules. It looks pretty clear and will surely prove to be fun in the future! Though, I still have some questions.
Q. Starting Out: Influence this time?... Hmmm, interesting. Though, shouldn't this be how good one is, compared to other players? (Cause right now, it states how good you'd be against others).
A. It's basically just like status in the Civil War.... it measures how good of a Moulder/player you are, as well as how influential you are.
Q. Travelling: Hmmm, interesting. In case we're in another region and our lab gets sabotaged, we still can (immediately) issue countermeasures, or will these only take effect once we've travelled back towards our laboratory?
A. It depends on the countermeasure. Some will be delayed, and others will be insataneous. Overall, it's always just safer to have a pre-thought out defense already set up (Special Project's are good for defense).
Q. Buying/ Selling: Regional Markets still apply (only) for master moulders in that region, or can those that are in that region for a tournament make use of these too?
A. Anyone who is currently in that region, whether they live there or not, will be able to use it, so those who have labs there will have always have access as long as they have some staff members there.
Q. Training: Here is stated that creatures start out with 'basic moves', though we can train these. What am I to expect here? Do we train some of the actions as described under the header of 'Fight Actions', or could this just as well be to learn the creature to do a salto through a ring of fire?
A. Either of the two. You can (theoretically) train a beast to do anything. The listed Fight Actions are the ones that your beast already knows and can use. You can create your own unique moves and train them, which is what the training is for.
Q. Training: When one trains a 'special move', will this eventually result in a positive modifier/ bonus when attempting that move (as there is always a chance of failure)? What exactly am I to think about here?
A. If you manage to train a special move into a beast, it simply means that the beast will be able to use that move (for example, you have to train a beast to be able to do a spinning backflip while shooting spikes in all directions; otherwise, it wouldn't know the move).
Q. Research: Am I right to assume the subjects for Research ought to be limited to actions/ events that affect the league only? (i.e. no books with cooking lessons, as fun as might sound).
A. Hopefully, but you can theoretically do anything. The more useful research is, however, the less angry the Mork is at his Inbox being spammed and the less it will hurt you.
Q. Research/ Sabotage: Is it possible to use Research in order to perform 'the ultimate crime'... As in, dodging your way out of enemy spy attempts, etc? (Thinking in the direction of movies like for example Ocean's Eleven).
A. Yes. ^_^ Spying would help there, too... :P
Q. Fighting: The Pick Up and Throw Away actions states a creature is thrown D66+1" away. I assume this has to be D6", cause otherwise I'd be throwing creatures out of the stadium!
A. Thank you for pointing that out. :P It is, in fact, D6.
Q. Fighting/ Training: With the subject of Training your creature in mind, I assume it is possible for us to create some 'special moves' that are not listed here? (Stimulating imagination here, I believe?).
A. Yes.
Q. Tournaments: The list is divided in three different pairs of regions. Can we conclude from this that that specific part of the season only takes place in those two regions? (i.e. Marienburg and Skavenblight, but not Marienburg and Hell Pit).
A. Generally, yes, but there may be some exceptions, in which case it will be clearly stated.
Morkskittar - July 1, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Q. Will there be risks to travel?
A. Yes. You might get attacked on the way. Bribing some people may help you.
Friar Divik - July 4, 2006 01:14 PM (GMT)
Q. The Badlands markets sell cheap orcs. Is this because they are around more, thus their price is lowered, or is the 'quality' of these creatures worse?
A. They're just around more.
Q. Mork, why is the banner in your signature gone? :P
A. *resists urge to move this to Hall of Spam* *succeeds* Because of Dracko's sever issues and my laziness :P
Q. The rule still counts that as long as you're in a tournament in a region, you can't leave that region?
A. You can leave... but it wouldn't be very nice....

Q. How is shooting resolved with creatures that have a BS of zero? Technically, they wouldn't be able to fire a weapon, as they'd have no clue how to operate it (if I am to believe the description of Ballistic Skill in the WH Fantasy and Mordheim rulebook), but here they still do.
A. Generally, if they have a weapon implanted into them, they are automatically trained to be able to fire that weapon with a BS of 2. They can be trained further to increase it, however. Thanks for pointing this out (never thought to edit statlines... :P). I hope to edit statlines with this information soon.
Drachau - September 26, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
Q: If a player is travelling somewhere without tokens, and won tokens from a tournament, are those tokens useable or is it assumed they are automatically transferred to the lab? (since, who in the right mind would carry hundreds of tokens with them?). If it is directly deposited to the lab, would it be possible for the moulder to get some tokens for them to hold on to and the rest sent to the lab?
A. The tokens will be put into the inventory, but are assumed to be useable.
Stinkhair - September 26, 2006 08:10 AM (GMT)
Q : Moulders have to take tokens with them to bet while out-of-lab?
A. Yes and no. Drachau's answer can be correct. However, bets are often placed in other cities on the results of matches elsewhere. So, technically, you can do it, but you won't make nearly as many tokens than if you bring tokens and bet in the city itself.
Friar Divik - September 26, 2006 11:01 AM (GMT)
Q. I assume that those who fight in the region where their laboratories are based can freely access their inventory, without the need to bring stuff with them?
A. Yes.

Yes. the travel forms now have to be filled out, what you will being with you, where you are going, how long, etc. This is only recently being implemented.
As I said, this is the best way to do it, though it isn't required. Just strongly requir - ested. ^_^
Friar Divik - October 14, 2006 02:19 PM (GMT)
Q. At what days are the tournaments usually updated? (I'd very much appreciate it when the answer could also be stickied in a topic in the main forum).
A. I can usually fight at least one round every day except Tuesdays and Saturdays. For October 2006 only, I cannot update on Fridays either... so that would be every day except Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday right now. I'll stickify a thread when I have time...
Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - October 15, 2006 12:43 PM (GMT)
Q. Where can one gain/ hire additional packmasters? (At this moment, the possibility for this does not seem to exist).
A. Black Market. :P Though you do point out a flaw in the market. Thanks you. There might be a Packmaster item appearing soon...

That stands to reason, afterall, packmasters are hardly illegal. Nor are they rare in the moulder community.
But wait, there's more!
Q:
QUOTE
Even one mutation further will result in the Threshold being passed, and the beast will likely die. THIS NUMBER DOES NOT INCLUDE POTIONS
QUOTE
Mutations that do not require stocks are the Lightning Reflexes and Lightning Fast (which are granted by potions). In the markets, you can buy creatures to use, and it is from these creatures that you can select stocks and parts.
Do lightning reflexes and lightning fast count as potions or mutation for the purposes of the threshold? and if they count as mutations, do they "stack"? ie count as two if yo use both. 'Cause iff I recall, one is an upgrade of the other...
A: Yes, one is an upgrade of the other, but both count as 2 potions... its like putting more and more drugs into your body.
Q:
QUOTE
Charatter items are items you can buy for your fellow SKAVEN, not your beasts. Charatter items do what they normally do in the appropriate Warhammer Rules.
What about cratures with an advanced (or human) brain, and the right body/limb to weild those items?
A: If creatures have a human brain and appropriate limbs, they can use these weapons.
Stinkhair - October 17, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
Q : Do us moulders have to keep track of threshholds, or will we be able to aquire that information by asking a packlord?
A : You can acquire that information by asking.
Q : The 'mutations' section of the mutating form.... Is that the total number of mutations on the beast, or just on that form?
A : Just on that form. Packlords will take the previous mutations into account.
Q : Where the poop are/have the threshhold rules gone?
A : There is a seperate thread in the rules section here.

Q. Is it possible that veteran master moulders within the league are going to be invited to give masterclasses in the 'De Rattig' school? *grins*... :D
A. Now THAT is an interesting question... I'll think about it. :D
Stinkhair - December 2, 2006 12:46 PM (GMT)
Q : Why is there a 15 token disparity between charratter plate armour [presumably human-sized] and human-sized beast plate armour?
A : Because there is. :P
Also, not all moulders are human-sized...

Hi.
Q: When the rules say that a new master moulder starts with 6 giant rats and 100 rats, what are the rats actually used for? I can't seem to find a use for them, and seeing as they are not giant rats, I doubt that they can be used for mutations or what have you.
Apologies if I've simply missed some vital text.
A. The rats can be used for a variety of purposes if one thinks outside of the box. Fur and tails are common uses for them (after they are enlarged), as well as brains. Also, they make good test subjects for research and sometimes for doing interesting tasks.
Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - December 5, 2006 09:27 AM (GMT)
Q. Is it possible to sent your packmaster to another region to fight tournaments there for you? (We're talking about master moulders then without apprentices). If yes, since when did this change?
A. Yes, now it is. Unfortunately. So many people insisted on doing this that it is now permitted, but puts those Moulders at a disadvantage. Plus, they are a lot more liable to sabotage.
elpollo - December 17, 2006 07:07 PM (GMT)
Q: Can you make entirely mechanical creatures, such as the
Clan Skyre Rat Ogre for Mordheim?
A.
Yes, it would be possible. One would simply have to ethier make a specialproject on creating them, or step-by-step change the parts on any mutationproject with mechanical ones till its completely metal
Packlord Mirak - December 18, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
Q. how do i pin a topic in my lab?
A. There should be a lttle thingie at the list bar thingie at the bottom that says 'Moderation Options.' Click on the little down-pointing arrow next to it, and a list should appear. One of the potions is 'pin topic.' Click it, and click 'go.'

Q. Boobytraps are one-use only, or do they need to bought again once used?
A. Booby-traps are NOT one-use only... it is assumed you will recover the projectiles or nets. Of course, the aboteur could dismantle your defenses, in which case new ones would need to be purchased.
They may only be used once per fight though... Obviously. ~D
