Warwolt of Clan Rustsmiths - April 14, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
A rat came inside the tournament mainhall. He watched some of the other master moulders before he spoke.
"My-my name shall be know-knowed trough these hall-hallsss as Krabaw-aw, Master moulder of clan Rust Smithsss. And I hearby demand to-to be a part-part this tournament in-in form of-of contessstant! I bring-brings my mighty creation, Witterat to fullfill-fill this promiss! Untill i return may you treat him... well-well."
[Edit]Fixed my intro so it where fluffy, had to do it like Ratticq :P[/Edit]
Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - April 14, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
A black-furred rat with two whips at each side of his belt steps into the gloomy burrow. With a booming voice, he lets his presence be known.
"I, Ratticq of clan Gnawkin, shall join this tournament and bring my creation Speedy Squeek, whom is controlled by my packmaster Varskik."
Morkskittar - April 16, 2006 12:15 PM (GMT)
"THE MARIENBURG RATFEST HAS BEGUN!
Yes, that's right folks.... the preliminary round has started! I sit here atop my subterranean tower looking down-down on the many arenas in which-which we will fight our preliminary knockout round. One judge is at every fight, who will score you based on performace. Whoever kills the other rat wins.
For this round, there will be NO particpipation of the Moulders. Repeat, NO-NO Participation of the Moulders. Only rats here. If any Moulder fights another, they will be fined. If the other Moulder is directly killed by the Moulder, there will be a fine. If the Moulder attacks the opponents creature, there-there will be a LARGE fine and instant disqualification. The top 16 scoring rats will travel to the next round, which will be tomorrow. You CAN further modify and repair your creature before tomorrow's round, but-but the same rat mut be used.
ARE YOU READY?!?!
YES!!!!
GO!!!!"
As the commentator yells, the starting pistol fires and explodes, instantly killing the rat holding it, much to the amusement of the audience.
There are several arenas centered around a large Tower. The commentator sits on this tower. All around, the arenas are seperated by wobbling wooden barriers with platforms for the Moulders to walk on.
As the rats scurry out, one Moulder assaults a judge standing near him. Laughter erupts from the audience. Laughing, the commentator speaks. "Well-well, there was nothing said about killing judges! Carry on! I'll judge you!" The other judges hurriedly scurried away from the Moulders watching the battle.
***
Krabaw stared at his opponent. The Moulder was huge, with a thing's catcher and a whip the thickness of his (Krabaw's) wrist. His rat was the exact opposite. It was stunty with only one extra arm, and looked sickly. Krabaw reasoned that this might be a plague the rat carries. He hoped that Witterat would be careful.
He watched as the other rat charged Witterat, and the judge scribbled down notes, then jumped as the Ratling Gun mounted on Witterat opened fire. The Plaguerat was shredded before it had advanced three steps. Those watching gave a great cheer, and Krabaw nodded with satisfaction. His opponent had whirled away, angry. Krabaw was going to have to be careful about that guy...
***
Ratticq looked at his opponent coldly. The other Skaven returned the glare, just as icy. Whoever won would get a tidy sum, and would advance to the next round.
As the signal was given, The rats charged out, straight at eachother. Ratticq had barely any time to observe the other rat before the two became a tangle of fur and blood. The other rat appeared to have a saw on the end of its tongue.... how interesting. Ratticq watched the struggle, fearing for Speedy Squeak's life.
The fight was very short. Both balls of fur stopped moving as life seeped out of them. the judge scribbled something and scurried off to the scoreroom. Ratticq leaped down and rushed to his rat, picking it up. It seemed dead, but Ratticq could sense the fainest hint of life in his rat. He raised the ray above his head and called "It lives!" The judge scurried back down to ratticq, checked the rat himself, then checked the other rat, then hurried off again, writing down more notes.
The other Moulder glared at Ratticq as he picked up his rat and walked away, leaving Ratticq to contemplate his rat.

Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - April 20, 2006 12:25 PM (GMT)
Ratticq walks into the dungeons under the pit, with his giant rat on a cart. Many wondered if the creature would be fit enough to fight the next round, though the glint in the eyes of the master moulder told everyone he still had some sort of trick up his sleeve.
Right before the third round would start, Ratticq placed a bet of 15 tokens on Krabaw going through to the next round.
Morkskittar - April 20, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
The bet was taken, and ratticq himself emerged into the arena. "AND NOW WHE HAVE RATTICQ, AND IT APPEARS THAT SPEEDY SQUEAK SOMEHOW LIVED!" Cheers erupted from the audience. ratticq was confident. "GO!"
ratticq's foe was simply a Giant rat with a saw. Nothing More. ratticq had seen what saws could do, though, and he was sure his didn't want to be on the wrong side of it...
Speedy Squeak charged speedily, both blades lowered in front of him like a Knight in a joust. The other rat raised his saw, ready to bring it down on Speedy. ratticq opened his mouth tp shout out a warning, but it was too late. For ratticq's opponent. One of Speedy's blades went right through the heart of the other rat. the saw froze in place, and the rat fell over. Speedy yanked his blade out and trotted over to Ratticq, ready to receive his treat.

Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - April 21, 2006 06:28 AM (GMT)
*raises his paws*... Oh yeah, go me! It seems the battleplan was working as it should.
Now let's get me some new gear. B)
Morkskittar - April 23, 2006 03:38 PM (GMT)
Hytternax looked confident as he faced his rival. As the start pistol went off (not exploding this time), he grinned. He was confident in his rat. It was a tough rat, with ver thick fur and triple sawed tails. Its two heads snapped visiously as it charged Krabaw's beast, weaving back and forth.
Witterat opened fire on Kytternax' creation, the weight of the guns almost dragging Witterat to the floor. Countless bullets from both guns zoomed through the air, most of them missing the weaving charger. But enough struck hom to do their job. Hytternax's rat, aptly named Quick-Kill, stopped in his tracks as both heads exploded in a shower of blood. Krabaw grinned. another victory for him...
He looked out to the stands as Ratticq went to collect his cash.
OOC: Ratticq's bet gain has been added to his Inverntory.

Ratticq was up next. He looked at Hujik. The rat had a turban on. Probably from Kaffir, one of the southerly Arabayan Pitfighting cities. The start gun went off, followed by a scream. Those pistols were supposed to be reliable...
The two rats faced eachother. Before Ratticq could register the other rat's appearence, Hujik's rat Hujikkalik charged, moving with mind-numbing speed. Speedy Squeak squeaked and held his blades out. It didn't take long for Hujikkalik to reach Speedy. Hujik's creature unleashed a fury of attacks against Speedy, drawing a gasp from the crowd. Hujikkalik's momentum was his downfall, however. the rat was carried right into Speedy's lowered blades. Hujik howled as his beast died. Speedy yanked his blades out of Hujikkalik and trotted around the arena, spitting at the sobbing Hujik. the crowd cheered. They were warming up to this foreigner from Hell Pit...
OOC: Both yoours and krabaw's victory money added.
GOING ON TO THE POST-FINALS:
Rawholf the Rattingale
Krabaw of Clan Rustsmiths
Ratticq of Clan Gnawkin

Krabaw smiled and headed back to the Arene Entrance, while he where on his way out he whispered to one of the judge-rats.
"I see-see that token-tokens can be easy earn-earned by placing bet-bets, and so I shall. I place 15 tokens on Rattiq to win-win next round, and 10-10 that gazzak will-will lose next round-round.
Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - April 23, 2006 06:17 PM (GMT)
*grins*... Thank you Mork, I loved to read the reports.
I put a bet of 15 tokens on Witterat (Krabaw) going through towards the finals and 10 tokens on myself meeting him in the final.
Krabaw, onto glory and the shiny award! ;)
Morkskittar - April 27, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
The Rattingale looked across at ratticq, and ratticq returned the glare. the match would be close. Could ratticq pull it off?
The start pistol shot off, and speedy looked worriedly at Rawholf's saw wielding rat. Ratticq attempted to herd his rat toward's Rawholf, but Speedy seemed too scared. The Moulder cursed. This was not going well...
Rawhol laughed and raised his whip to lash down on his own rat. As the whip reached the top of its arc, he was suddenly thrown over by a shockwave. Ratticq collapsed as well, almost on top of Speedy Squeak. Pieces of wood flew threw the air from the place where part of the audience stands had ben earlier. the wodden stands burbed quickly, and the audience was already fleeing. Ratticq quickly stood, only to be felled by a second wave from farther away. Were those bombs?
"Ikkilit!" shouted one audience rat, Ratticq stood and whirled around. Blue-robed rats of the Cult of many Faces charged from under the burning bleachers, blades raised. A moment of shock crossed Ratticq's face as the Tzeentchians charged forward.
Most ran straight for Ratticq and his rat. The mouler whirled his blade, and an evil gleam came into his eyes as he braced himself for the charge. the rats reached him, and Ratticq's sword began hacking at the figures surrounding him. Blood soaked the ground very quickly. Speedy was fighting as well. It was a miracle that they remained alive...
At the other end of the arena, Rawholf the Rattingale wasn't so lucky. he only took down on Cultist before he received a stab in the bowls. Rawholf collapsed, blood pouring out of his mouth and wound. His rat fought well, though, its many saws sending countless Tzeentchians to their deaths.
Suddenly, a bolt of blue lightning struck Rawholf's rat. It was instantly incinerated. the afterglow provided the ditraction Ratticq needed. pickng up Speedy, he leapt over his foes and ran out of the burning complex. Too late the Cultists realized that the arena was about to collapse on them, surrounding them with fire. The screams followed Ratticq as he ran through the streets.
***
The explosions took the moulder Vilepaw off guard. Rushing to the streets, he saw a flood of blue robes enter the area. the Marienburg guard sood no chance. Cursing, Vilepaw grabbed all that he had brought with him. Sword and whip in hand, he ran out of the door. rattica obviously sensed a disturbance, for not loing after the Giant knocked the wall of the inn down and emerged from his chamber. Vilepaw whirled around and threw rattica's chained leash like a lasso.
Perfect shot.
The Moulder turned again and fled. looking back, rattica decided it was th best option as well. It wasn't long before they had left the Marienburg border and were under the surrounding swampland.
***
Worsneek was not in the city when the bombs went off. the moulder had had a previous tip-off, and had ridden his spawn well out of the city. He made a path straight for Skavenblight. the Inquisition was probably going to lock down Marienburg and try and locate the culprits. he should have known Ikkilit would strike again...
***
The Marienburg sewers were aflame, yet in all likelihood those humans living above had not a clue. Inquisitorial Guard had arrived, driving the remaining Cultists away or into hiding. Slaves tried to put out the fires of the ruined cities.
Inquisitor Helbrecht of Marienburg eyes the ruins around him. "It was Ikkilit," he mused to his assistant. 'he must be located, and soon. The Pitfights here are necessary. they must continue soon." Helbrecht knew that there would have to be a delay in the oitfights as the dead were sorted out and the management got back up. But he also knew that the itfights were essential to the economy. They must start soon.
The Inquisitor again looked around. Ikkilit was somewhere out there... He turned to his assistant. "Round up all surviving Moulder-rats here. I wish to question them. Heretics are to be imprisoned." the rat bowed and scurried off.
***
OOC: Ikkilit has struck. Some of you knew that was coming soon :P. All people in Marienburg are currently in custody and under inspection. All tournaments are postponed until Ikkilit is rooted out.
Those who escaped the city are:
Ratticq of Clan Gnawkin (barely) - Can either stay on the outskirts or head somewhere else. Both Speedy and Slicey are with you (you picked up Slicey on the way out).
Vilepaw - Would recommend getting to Hell Pit. Rattica is not easy to control.
Worsneek - Back in Skavenblight
All who have lairs here EXCEPT Drachau are in custody. Drachau is in Skavenblight at the moment, so he is exempt. You can still make creatures, but no leaving or buying or fighting until the Inquisition says so.

So matches will resume when ikkilit is caught yes-yes?
I shall Issue a challenge to ikkilit rat thing, his best creature Versus Rattica, until he agrees or decline my position will remain secret so he may-may not hunt me down, let him leave a reply via a message rat in the swamp outside Marienburg. Should he loose he will leave marienburg and never travel to hell pit.
Ratticq of clan Gnawkin - April 28, 2006 06:06 AM (GMT)
With Marienburg currently sealed off completely, Ratticq decided to return to Hell Pit. His agents would inform him when the fights would continue and he would be back soon enough.

"AND NOW..... THE FINAL MATCH oF THE MARIENBURG RATFEST!"
The crowd cheered. the stabnds were filled with eager rats, many of them placing their bets.
The gate that ratticq emerged from was scorched, and there were bits of wood lying around, almost as if a bomb had gone off there ealier...
Krabaw and witterat emerged from the opposite side. A glimmering look of defience shown in his eyes as he glared at ratticq. Ratticq retruned the look, his face emotionless.
"AND READY.... SET.... GO!"
The gun shot off (no explosions this time), and the match began. Speedy charged Witterat, intent on the kill.
The Ratlings let loose. Poor Witterat began weaving and dodging, but the bullets moved to fast. A shot in the leg made Speedy collapse. As more bullets shot towards Speedy, a miniature explosion echoed through the arena. Witterat suddenly stiffened, then fell on his side as the last bullets ripped Speedy Squeak to shreds.
A silence fell over the arena. Who had won?
"THE WINNER SHALL BE DETERMINED SOON. PLEASE SIT TIGHT." The judges adjourned to see who would win the match... and the Ratfest....
OOC: Stay Tuned! Witterat and Speedy both died. :(

..... At a cost though. As much as he appreciated the win (and perhaps even the double, with once again claiming the number one position in the ranking), a creature was lost. A decent creature and one that would needed to be replaced. Solemny he walked into the pits, waving at the crowd here and there. Walking on towards the remainder to pick up what was left of Ratticq.
OOC: Krabaw, congratulations with a second position. Very worthy opponent during the tournament and I sure do hope to see you again soon.
