Stage One: The Obstacle Course

Only 8 now, but anyway...

Sir Marmaduke and Cruris
Cruris the Ogre Bull ran into the obstacle course. The first test he faced was a massive pit of fire. Taking a running start, Cruris easily cleared it and carried on. He then encountered a slightly larger pit filled with sharpened blades, and also cleared that one. He was then almost hit by swinging bladed pendulums on the other side, but managed to easily avoid them, carring on. On the oher side of the pendulums, the beast leapt over a snakefilled pit, and reached a climbing wall. Agile as he was, Cruris scurried (if that's the right word) to the top quickly. At the top of the wall, he had to navigate a series of hurtles combined with flames and spikes! He managed to do this, although was burned and cut a few times before making it to the simple maze at the end. After ten minutes, Cruris found his way out.

Success!

Boroth and Druka Druka
As soon as Druka Druka entered the obstacle course, the beast had a problem. It was to small to cross the firepit. it didn't try, and no amount of prodding could bring it to. It failed.

Woombesntein and Ostsås MkII
The rolling mass of heads that was Ostsås MkII has always been a crowd pleaser. As soon as it entered the course, it rolled towards the firepit, and rolled neatly around the rim, not even being singed. He also easily cleared the spiked pit, and was lucky enough to not be hit by one of the pendulums when roling past. :o The snakepit was handled in the same fashion as the first two pits.

Then came the climbing wall. The rolling ball could not get up it, even though it tried ith varying headstarts. It failed.

Chii and Lurs'tht
It began. Lurs'tht, the spider, easily crawled around the rim of the fire pit. When the spider approached the spiked pit, it did the exact same thing. However, the spider descended into the pit and waited before moving on. As it waited, the ground shook near the swinging pendulums, and six figures clawed their way out of the earth. The pendulums struck them, and changed their courses, slowing down. It was at this moment that Lurs'tht sprinted across the short area and easily crawled around the snakefilled pit, even stopping to much on a snake from the bottom. The climbing wall was a joke, and the part afterwards was easily navigated by the spider, who just waited until more figures came out of the earth to clear the path with their corpses.

Skritchit and Shiva
Shiva, the strange gland, was placed at the start of the course. Immediately, the air grew colder, and the beast's infamous ice form took shape. It bounded forward, easily leaping the first two pits. Unfortunately, the icebeast didn't notice the massive swinging pendulums, and got hit. Fortunately, the ice just shattered, and Shiva wasted no time in getting a new body and rushing through, more carefully this time. After leaping the snakepit, Shiva climbed the wall with no trouble, and was only melted slightly by the flames, spikes, and hurdles past that.

Shiva completed with the fastest time SO FAR.

Caseph and Harlequin
As soon as it began, Harlequin the massive bogeyman shot off, easily leaping the first two pits. As soon as he hit the pendulums, however, he was not fast enough to dodge them all. Several of them grazed him, significantly slowing his progress. Once he got past that, he quickly leapt the snakepit and climbed the wall. The hurdles and flames and spikes proved to be no challenge, and Harlequin fiished uninjured, second in time only to Shiva.

Twitch and Boris III
Boris III, the heavily armoured Rat Ogre, began running forwad immediately, and leapt over the first pit, although not by much. Without stopped, the armour-bearing beast carried on, and he leapt at the edge of the second pit. However, he didnt make it across, as his heavy armour drapped him down, and he fell on the spikes (fortunately, the same armour prevented most injury as well).

Theeshinkid and Chunky
He began the course easily, leaping over the first two pits with no trouble whatsoever. Unfortunately, the swinging pendulums got him, ripping flesh asunder as he fell.

Stage Two: Partner Matches

Sir Marmaduke/Cruris and Skritchit/Shiva vs. Caseph/Harlequin and Boroth/Druka Druka

The match began. Immediately, Harlequin fired two rockets at Cruris, who crumpled to the ground, unmoving. Druka Druka, not allowed to tunnel, ran as far away from the athetic looking organ that was growing colder by the second.

As Harlequin aimed his other ballistic weapons at Shiva, a massive snowstorm suddenly appeared out of nowhere, just about blinding Caseph's beast. Harlequin howled in anguish as chunks of ice ripped into his flesh. As such, he was unable to defend himself when Shiva's ice-yhetee form leapt out of the snow, taking him out very quickly. After that, taking out the tunnelbeast wasn't a problem.

OOC: Victory to beardy and Skritchit. Caseph got criticaled by a blizzard... :lol:

Woombenstein/Ostsås MkII and Chii/Lurs'tht vs. Twitch/Boris III and Bukko/Chunky

The match began. Boris III fired his Ratling Gun at the threatening spider Lurs'tht, taking it out of action. He then used his second gun to take out Woombenstein's Beast.

Final! Battle Royale...

As soon as the start was signalled, Shiva let lose the fury of his ice. A massive blizzard blew up from nowehere. The snow and cold (and hail) seemed to be especially focused on Sir Marmaduke's Cruris, who quickly became stiff with cold and fell to the ground, unmoving. At the same time, Boris III quickly took out his former partner's beast, Chunky, and turned his attention to Shiva. By this time, the blizzard was dying down, but Shiva had turned into an ice-yhetee. Boris calmly and fired all of his weapons at the Yhetee, whose ice-form quickly shattered. It didn't take long for it to be reconsituted, however, and the blizzard returned, blinding Boris. Out of the whiteness, Shiva charged forward, slamming into the robotic Boris. Boris just looked down at the ice-thing attacking him, and smashed it apart with several blows of his rams. After kicking the gland across the arena, Boris was declared the winner.
